[MUSIC - NIK DAY, "MIRACLE"]
You were made for a reason in an extraordinary way.
Forget about your imperfections 'cause God doesn't make mistakes.
You're so much more than you imagine, a priceless work of art. If you look deep inside, there's something so divine, and it's really who you are. You are a miracle sent here straight from heaven, A shooting star lighting up the sky, A daughter of a God of love who wants you by His side. He had to let you go, but He wants you to know You are a miracle, one of His miracles.
You were born for greatness. It's who you are.
So follow Him and give it time, And you won't even recognize the queen you will become. You are a miracle sent here straight from heaven, A shooting star lighting up the sky, A daughter of a God of love who wants you by His side. He had to let you go, but He wants you to know You are a miracle sent here straight from heaven, A shooting star lighting up the sky, A daughter of a God of love who wants you by His side. He had to let you go, but He wants you to know You are a miracle, one of His miracles.
Welcome to Mormon Channel Studio. I'm Bri Ray, and that was an original song by our special guest, Nik Day, called "Miracle." Nik, can you tell us a little bit about that song and what inspired you to write it? Yes, I wanted to write a song about girls and talk about how special they are and especially how much God loves them. And so I thought the best way to say that is to say that they're miracles. Wow, I love that. You have one more song for us, "Come, Come, Ye Saints." Can you tell me a little about why you chose that hymn and what it means to you? Yes. So the reason I chose this hymn is because when this song was written, they were going through a lot of hardships. And even though what we're going through today isn't the same, it also is a little bit hard to stand up for what we believe in. And I thought it was still really relevant. Great. I can't wait to hear it. Take it away. [MUSIC - NIK DAY, "COME, COME, YE SAINTS"]
Come, come, ye Saints, no toil nor labor fear; But with joy wend your way. Though hard to you this journey may appear, Grace shall be as your day. 'Tis better far for us to strive Our useless cares from us to drive; Do this, and joy your hearts will swell-- All is well!
Why should we mourn or think our lot is hard? 'Tis not so; all is right.
Why should we think to earn a great reward If we now shun the fight? Gird up your loins; fresh courage take. Our God will never us forsake; And soon we'll have this tale to tell-- All is well!
All is well!
All is well!
And should we die before this journey's through, Happy day! All is well! We then are free from toil and sorrow, too; With the Saints we shall dwell! But if our lives are spared again To see the Saints their rest obtain, Oh, how we'll make this chorus swell-- All is well!
All is well!
All is well!
Oh, how we'll make this chorus swell-- All is well!
