Saving money can be a challenge, especially when you’re a teenager who doesn’t have much to start with. However, young members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are finding ways to earn and set aside money to serve full-time missions.
Spencer W. Kimball said, “Remember it costs money to go to the various parts of the world and preach the gospel. Remember, then, it is your privilege now to begin to save your money. Every time money comes into your hands, through gifts or earnings, set at least part of it away in a savings account to be used for your mission. It is your mission; it is your opportunity and responsibility.”
Saving is easier said than done, but there are several things you can do to build your bank account over time.
1. Start early.
3. Open a savings account.
4. Get a part-time job.
5. Ask your parents or mentors for advice and assistance.
