Mental illness has always been prevalent, but it is more discussed today than ever before. Today, our host Nicole invites her sister, Odile, to share her personal experience with bipolar disorder.
It took Odile and her doctors years to properly diagnose and treat her condition. She says being diagnosed was a relief, but coping with it was going to be a daunting, life-long challenge.
“It’s still hard. It’s something that you’re going to live with for the rest of your life. Any form of medication, treatment, professional help, family support, friend support—you need all of those things to be able to manage it,” Odile explains. “It’s a big team effort that includes God.”
How does Odile’s experience and testimony inspire you? Share her story to inspire others.
