It was recently announced that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is producing a new live-action video series about the Book of Mormon.
The project is expected to take up to 6 years to complete. Filming is currently in progress in Goshen, a city located in central Utah. The crew includes six directors, 75 technical experts, and many actors.
Sister Reyna I. Aburto, second counselor in the Relief Society general presidency, and a member of the project’s steering committee said, “[The videos] will provide … [the audience with] an opportunity to learn more of Christ and feel God’s love as they relate to the characters, see themselves in the stories, and feel the power of the doctrine and teachings of this inspired book.”
The first Book of Mormon videos are scheduled to be released near the end of 2018. What do you think of this project? Join the conversation by leaving a comment below.
