The Peanut Butter Project

Episode 3

8:25
Description

“By small and simple things are great things brought to pass” (Alma 37:6). So it is no wonder that even service as simple as making peanut butter in a factory can be the source of great joy.

Peanut butter is one of the most requested items at food pantries for the poor. Since 2004, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, The Houston Food Bank, and hundreds of corporate volunteers have worked together in what they call “The Peanut Butter Project.” Today, the project provides more than 100,000 jars of peanut butter to Houston’s needy.

We traveled to Houston to learn more. We discovered that everyone involved in this significant service enjoys the warm feelings and blessings that come from helping others.
