How to Find Love in 2015

February 3, 2015

In the New Year a lot of singles set a goal to be in a serious relationship. Amy Stevens, CEO of a faith-based dating strategy company offers some heartfelt advice for improving yourself and your dating strategies and being one step closer to finding love in 2015.

Like any aspiration in life, it is important to set goals to achieve this most meaningful and righteous desire of finding an eternal companion.

A few suggested goals to include in your strategy plan include:

(1) Consciously seek out opportunities to expand your social network: seek out singles cruises and other trips, sign up for classes, and go to gatherings with new friends, coworkers, and acquaintances to meet those in their circles.

(2) Learn new techniques to increase confidence, and practice those techniques with friends and family so they become second nature to you.

(3) Create a budget for love. This could be used for dates or updating your wardrobe, hairstyle, and overall image to attract your ideal match.

(4) Learn how to more effectively manage your thoughts and emotions and increase your social intelligence.

I recommend creating a dating strategy plan that addresses where you are currently with dating vs. you where you want to be by the end of the year. Honestly assess where the barriers are that are holding you back; get feedback from those you trust and advice from people who excel in areas where you don’t feel as confident. It is an eternal principle that everything is created spiritually before it is created physically. If we can make a plan for achieving an educational or career goal, we certainly can do the same with relationships. It doesn’t mean it will turn out exactly as you think it will, but I promise you will be in a better place at the end of the year than when you started if you follow true principles of becoming the best version of yourself and expanding your network. Honestly, what is the worst thing that can happen if you make a goal in the area of love? Don’t let fear hold you back.
