Mormon Identities is a program about real Latter-day Saints as they live the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in the world today. We explore how the gospel shapes our identities in episodes dealing with our communitites, culture, scriptures, doctrines, life experiences, and challenges.
Robert Millet, professor of religious education at Brigham Young University, joins Brent Top, professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young University, to talk about a phrase used by President Hinckley to "keep the doctrine pure." In the discussion they speak about how teachers can keep the doctrine pure by using the scriptures, as well as official words and documents that have been written and given to us from the prophets and apostles. They also share the fruits and blessings that will be received as the doctrine is taught with purity.
