Mormon Identities

Mormon Identities is a program about real Latter-day Saints as they live the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in the world today. We explore how the gospel shapes our identities in episodes dealing with our communitites, culture, scriptures, doctrines, life experiences, and challenges.

With an ever-growing, multiracial Church membership, race relations are more important now than ever before. In this episode we talk to Catherine Stokes, the former deputy director for the Illinois Department of Health who also serves on the Deseret News Editorial Advisory Board, and international music sensation Alex Boyeboth of whom are Black and Mormon. We discuss race relations both in America, where Catherine was born, and in England, where Alex is from, and how those relations help form and enhance our identities within the Church.
